Throwback Thursday: I Call This My Anne of Green Gables Look

Since I’m writing about my childhood, I thought I’d share a few throwback thursday pics.

I call this one my Anne of Green Gables look. I mean, look at that straw hat!

Anne of Green Gables LookP.S. I am totally holding the lyric book to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat soundtrack.

I knew every word. Every. Word.

    1. Lol – yah I am wearing those leggings with knee socks.

  1. All that’s missing is a piece of straw clenched between your teeth.

    1. Totally did that outside.

      1. Oh, thought you should know: I just pooped at work.

        1. Thank you for letting me know.

          1. Should I let you know EVERY time, or are we good with just this once?

            1. We’re good. Just beware turd burglars. Remember to practice your Astairs.

    1. Miss that long red hair, but it’s getting there!

  2. OMG~you we’re adorable Jess!! I would totally grab that thing out of the attic & sport that baby in a new pic then put them side by side. Jess before & after rocks the hat!! 😉

    1. Um no. I grew up with lots of wicker furniture and bad hats. Neither will make an appearance in my present home.

  3. Darling young lady. Beautiful lady.

    1. Aww, thanks Snookie! So sweet of you to say. 🙂

  4. Sweet Anne with an “E”, I mean Jess. Or, you could add the E as in Jesse with an “E.” I think I like Jess better. It’s so you girl! And I’d keep the hat! 🙂

    1. Funny, a friend of mine painted canvas squares for all our friends at graduation and mine was a silhouette of Anne Shirley walking the ridgepole of Moody Spurgeon’s kitchen roof. And on the border he wrote Jessie with an E, which was a joke because I always spelled it Jessi with just an I. Too funny!

  5. […] blame Anne of Green Gables. I daydreamed that I was going to be a visionary of my time, and all anyone knows me for is an ad […]
