Five Truths and a Lie

Mandi

This is Mandi.

Thanks to the sweetest mother-daughter blogger duo, InionNMathair, I’ve been introduced to some awesome new bloggers via their post, The Sisterwives. One of these amazing women is Mandi of the fabulously named blog – Cellulite Looks Better Tan.

I’ll have to take your word on that, Mandi!

*stretches toes into ray of sunlight* Sizzle *withdraws immediately*

For now, this redhead is still sun-combustible. And my cellulite looks like a  marshmallow.

Then again, Mandi prides herself on being a good liar. Perhaps this is true about sun-baked cellulite. I can’t be sure.

What I am sure of is that Mandi is a really funny gal. And she just shared five truths and a lie in her blog post, True Story…,  for readers to figure out which thing on her list is the lie. Interested yet? You should be. After all she includes tuna, stitches, and dead people! What more could you want?!

Inspired to play along, I’m sharing five truths and a lie for all of YOU to guess which one is the lie about me.

Have at it!

1.  I once won a year’s worth of chicken wings.

2. My first boyfriend collected horse figurines.

3. I quit smoking by drinking tea.

4. My parents’ backyard once kept 7 toilets, 1 urinal, a washing machine, a keyboard, and a caution – slow down – crosswalk person inside it.

5. I love to cartwheel.

6. I whistle by breathing in instead of out.

So, whatd’ya think?
Which one is the lie?

  1. Reblogged this on Shirley McLain and commented:
I’m going to say it is quitting smoking drinking tea. That would be tough to do. I enjoyed the read very much. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I am going to say quit smoking by drinking tea. That would be a hard thing to do. I enjoyed the read very much. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks for taking a guess Shirley! We’ll see…

And thanks for the reblog! So sweet of you!

  3. I totally breath in my whistles, and I believe a lot of what you just shared, but I’m going with the year supply of chicken wings because chicken wings and tuna….well, that’s just too much of a coincidence in a very Jessica Simpson kind of way.

    1. Like “chicken of the sea” coincidence? 😉 LOL

      Well, you’ll find out!

    1. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps…

  4. I vote for the smoking one – honestly, I can’t imagine you smoking!! 🙂

    1. OK – I should have read Mandi’s post first. Can I change my vote to the chicken wings??!

      1. LOL. As you wish. We’ll see if you’re gut was right or not!

  5. Okay, I now have an image of you cartwheeling amongst toilets while whistling off key and juggling a tea cup, horse figurine and a chicken wing. It is not a pretty sight.

I’m going to go with the crowded backyard, although that is so strange it probably is true. 🙂

    1. How do you know I can’t cartwheel while juggling all those things? HUH? Huh, Kassandra??? 😉

  6. I’m going to say the chicken wings. Who gives away chicken wings? LOL. And I learned to whistle that way.

    1. Who DOESN’T give away chicken wings, you mean?! Or maybe you’re right, and no one does… Wouldn’t you like to know? 😛

  7. The boyfriend with the horse figurines. Unicorns maybe, but horses? I’m not buying it…

    1. Do YOU have a collection of unicorns you’d like to tell us about, Mark?

  8. I guess chicken wings.

  9. As a first-time visitor and a guy, I’m hoping #2 is the lie.

    1. Welcome! But what’s WRONG about a horse collection?! LOL

      1. It does say her first boyfriend. I’m thinking they were maybe 5 years old. 🙂

        1. If that’s so, what’s your guess Kassandra?

          1. I already guessed above. I said the urinals in the backyard, but that’s so crazy it probably is true.

            1. Doh! Too right! Serves me right for commenting via my phone so I can only see like 4 things at a time. Sorry Kassandra. I’ve got you down. Kassandra Urinals! Wait…that sounds bad. Do you want that hyphenated? 😛

      2. So how many miniatures were in his collection?

        1. I either can’t remember or I don’t know.

          1. Oh well it was worth asking.

  10. Looking at your pictures, I think Mandi must be your long lost twin from another mother.

    1. Suh-weet! Oops baby no more!

  11. Well, the toilet and urinals in the backyard have to be true because it is bizarre enough to be true. Hmmm… I vote for either #3 or #4 as the lie. BTW, Mandi is funny and I am enjoying her blog! 🙂

    1. Yay! Connecting new friends!

I do reeeeeeeeeally like tea! And toilets! LOL

  12. The cartwheels sound unlikely to me. Of course you’re not me so might be able to do them … Yeah, I vote cartwheels. It’s (sometimes) best to stick with your first answer.

    1. I’m a trust in your gut kinda gal too! We’ll see if yours was right!

  13. Love #5! Cartwheels straight across the front lawn. 🙂

    1. But do you think I did them? Or this the lie? *raises eyebrows up and down*

  14. Hmmm….It’s hard to tell since I’ve only recently cyber-met you 😉 but I think I’ll guess #3…or is it #5….dammit!

    1. You’ll have to wait and see!

  15. […] had so much fun chatting with you all over my last post, Five Truths and a Lie. What a hoot watching you all guess which of the 6 stories were real and which one wasn’t. If […]
